Plus, an uncolored suite of the illustrations printed on chine at the rear. (Large 8vo) 25.5x16.5 cm (10x6½") period full crushed green morocco, covers decoratively paneled in gilt, spine gilt, raised bands, gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, matching morocco-edged felt-lined, marbled board slipcase. No. 71 of 120, of which the first 74 copies were reserved for the Societe des Amis de Livres. The superb color printing is reminiscent of the Eragny Press Livre de Jade with the gold and green printed together to such astonishing effect. Sumptuously bound by Chambolle-Duru. Henry Poor's copy, with his bookplate on front endpaper. Lot Amendments Condition: Slight wear to slipcase; spine faded to brown; else fine. Item number: 286986
