London: Printed and sold by T. Sowle, 1702-3. 2 parts in 1 vol. 8vo (190x114 mm). Contemporary calf panelled in blind, spine tooled in gilt with red morocco lettering label in gilt, 5 raised bands. Condition: toning, hole to margin of C4; rebacked to style, covers a bit abraded. Provenance: Hoyland (ink signature to title); Joseph Stokes (ink signature to front free endpaper); Rich Richardson (signature); Charles Roberts (bookplate). the first collected edition of important accounts of the persecution of american quakers.
