Late 19th-century calf, spine gilt with red morocco lettering-piece (rebacked preserving backstrip). Condition : Marginal restorations to title-leaf, slightly affecting woodcut border, touched up in skillful facsimile, and to last 3 leaves (misbound at front), a few other small marginal repairs, occasional minor marginal foxing. first complete edition in english of caesar's commentaries on the gallic wars .
