Chateau Haut-Brion 1982 Chateau Haut-Brion 1982 Pessac-Leognan (Graves), 1er Cru Classe u. 3x3cm, 1x3.5cm, very slightly scuffed labels, 1 nicked label, otherwise excellent appearance, color and clarity I had this twice in 2008 and it is incredibly fabulous. Just when you thought it could not get any more delicious, it comes up and hits you in the face with its sheer, knock-out beauty. Outstandingly rich and spicy, so chocolate, so young and so fresh. One could not gulp enough of it and it remained long on the palate in all its smoky, velvety glory. On its last outing in 2009, it was in double magnum and quite stupendous. SS. Lot 1219 6 bts (cn) per lot: HKD 26000-36000 per lot: USD 3250-4500 Haut Brion is the connoisseur's First Growth, sumptuous, soft, elegant and fine, so come-hither you sink into it. The hidden depths in its velvet folds of flavour are a revelation, with the extraordinary Cohiba notes leading to a spicy, constantly intriguing taste. With age, Haut Brion simply melts in the mouth, while in youth it is delicious before the other Firsts emerge from the chrysalis. This is the classiest, finest-textured wine from Pessac-Leognan, with its unique, almost "peaty" flavors. SS. Quantity: 1
