Volume one is a later reprint, with some of the leaves reprinted using the same typeface as the later volumes (but with the same imposition as the first edition), presumably issued around the time of the printing of the third volume. The plates comprise numerous maps and views of Greece and Asia Minor, along with Constantinople and many costume plates; the author travelled widely across Greece in 1776, and then became ambassador to Constantinople in 1784, where he remained until 1792.
