CRUIKSHANK, George (1792-1878). A Collection of 22 small drawings, some tinted or coloured, [undated], most signed by the artist, average size 105 x 85mm., mounted on 11 folio sheets. Blue buckram box with red morocco label (lid detached). Provenance : purchased at the Woodin sale, 1941. These generally small but versatile drawings include 5 sketches of 'Collins, the English Paganini' and 4 of Niccolò Paganini himself who toured England and Scotland in 1832. There are larger pencil and watercolour portraits of Guy Fawkes, 230 x 185mm; and Two Pugilists, 145 x 210mm.
