DICKENS, Charles. Oliver Twist; or the Parish Boy's Progress by "Boz" , London: Richard Bentley 1838, 3 volumes, 12°, FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM, etched frontispiece to each volume and 21 etched plates by Cruikshank, half titles to first two volumes present (some plates severely browned, one plate with short marginal tear, some gatherings in vols. II-III badly pulled and becoming detached at inner margin, gathering H in vol. III bound in twice, some offsetting and spotting to text, some quires cut short at margin), original reddish-brown fine-diaper cloth, arabesque design in mirror image stamped in blind to covers, spines lettered in gilt, with imprint "London/Bentley" (spines and extremities of covers faded, spines worn at extremities, corners bumped, block of vol.
