Dom Pérignon, Oenothèque--Vintage 1976
6 bottles per lot
DOM PERIGNON, OENOTHEQUE Named for the special reserve of wines held at the Cellars of Moët et Chandon in Epernay, this recently disgorged series was personally selected by Richard Geoffroy, Chef de Cave. The long secondary fermentation has accentuated the vintage style and its recent release of many vintages has offered a unique opportunity to trace the Dom Pérignon style over the past decades. Dom Pérignon, Oenothèque--Vintage 1976 Epernay Lot 214 in individual original wooden case. Lot 215 in two three- bottle individual original cartons "Fabulously chewy and powerful with an indestructible power and a layered richness. Multifaceted nose with an elusive, almost flowery undertone and a beautifully nutty, toasted, and honeysuckle elements. An embracing richness is combined with a fleshy, soft sensation in the mouth. The twist exudes ruby grapefruit and coffee-flavored candy." Richard Juhlin, 4000 Champagnes, February 2004 6 bottles per lot
