Read more This small drawing of a saint's head is part of the design for a four-light window commissioned from Evie Hone by the Sisters of Mercy for a small chapel attached to a Magdalene convent in Galway city. The unusual broken oval-shaped window is the only stained glass in the chapel. The youthful St. Joseph is depicted in the lower right-hand panel of the window shown with his carpentry tools - adze, hammer, pincers and saw. The other panels depict The Blessed Virgin, The Sacred Heart and Mary Magdalen. Dr Joseph McBrinn, August 2020
