Four gold mounted Egyptian steatite scarabs Middle Kingdom - New Kingdom, circa 2133-1070 B.C. Including a scarab wrapped in sheet gold across the upper surface, the underside carved with a double cord motif, Middle Kingdom, 19mm; another carved on the underside with concentric circle motifs, the upper body with feathered details across the back, Middle Kingdom - Second Intermediate Period, 21mm, set on a modern gold pendant loop; another with a central falcon-headed god, holding a kneeling captive in each hand, New Kingdom, 15mm, set in a gold mount, worn; one of brown glazed steatite, the underside with inscribed hieroglyphs, 'Khonsu is watchful, do not fear,', New Kingdom, 16mm, set in a Victorian gold pin mount, 3in (7.5cm) long; an Egyptian white steatite scaraboid in the form of a fish, the underside inscribed 'Menkheperre', ie. the cartouche Tuthmosis III and 'Menmaatre, SetepenRe' ie. Seti I, New Kingdom, 21mm, set in a rectangular modern gold pendant mount; and an Egyptian silver ring shank of horseshoe-shape, 23mm diam, corroded (6)
