Das plastische Œuvre Horst Antes' speist sich aus der in den Gemälden entwickelten Formensprache. Der sogenannte Kopffüßler ist dabei der unbestrittene Protagonist, der als Plastik aus dem flachen Bild in den Raum tritt und dementsprechend monumentalisiert werden kann.
Provenienz: erworben direkt beim Künstler; seitdem Privatsammlung Karlsruhe.

Horst Antes' sculptural œuvre is based on the formal language developed in his paintings. The so-called Kopffüßler (cephalopod) is the undisputed protagonist, which emerges as a sculpture from the flat picture into the open space and can be monumentalised consequently.
Provenance: purchased directly from the artist; since then private collection Karlsruhe.
