Giovanni Battista Piranesi and others Varie Vedute di Roma (F. 72-92; 94; 96-99; 101-119; H. pp. 76-7; W.-E. 51-6; 58-82; 84-97; 99-101) etchings, 1745-50, 85 plates, including 48 plates from the set of 51 by G.B. Piranesi, before the letters and numbers of the Venuti edition, with etched title page and two further plates by P. Anesi, three plates by C. Bellicard, nine plates by F.P. Duflos, six plates by J.L. LeGeay, and fourteen plates by others, published by G. Bouchard, 1748, some plates with watermark indistinct Coat of Arms (Robison wmk. 53, dated 1748), with margins, the name of the bookseller Fausto Amidei on the title-page erased, one or two short tears at the sheet edges, one plate with a pale waterstain in the upper part of the sheet affecting the subject, occasional pale discolouration mainly at the sheet edges, generally in very good condition, bound in green morocco boards, title impressed in gilt on front and spine, minor defects overall S. 250 x 365mm.(album)
