[Hudson: p.173] Published originally by the Limited Editions Club with 16 illustrations by Rackham, this was the last book that he illustrated before his death in 1939. It was not published in England until 1950, by Methuen. See the colour illustration on page ..., which depicts Toad's caravan on "a golden afternoon" (actual size 168 x 130mm).
