lot of seven. Includes two letters written by Charles Salisbury from the Ohio 25th Light Artillery, written in Little Rock, Ark., from 1863-65. Mentioned in the letters are the death of Lincoln and the defending of the "Old Flag" in the other. The 25th were involved in various expeditions in Missouri and Arkansas, and took part in the battle of Brownsville, Ark., PLUS a letter written by Frank M. Beard, a private in the Ohio 171st Infantry, written to a George Boyer, an acquaintance in Ohio, dated May 16, 1864. He mentions his location, Camp Dennison, and serving in Sandusky for a 100 days, the length of the term of the 171st Infantry, PLUS a 4pp letter written by an unknown soldier to his family members. Camp Dennison is mentioned, dated Dec. 1, year not provided; PLUS three envelopes, one of which is addressed to John A. Blackwell, who served in the 12th Indiana Infantry, and participated in the battle of Richmond, Ky. Envelope dated Aug. 27, 1863, AND two envelopes addressed to Daniel Harlan dated Aug. 16, 1864, and Mr Samuel Rosten, dated Nov. 29, 1864. Condition: General wear, VG+.
