Italian School 17th Century Study for an Escutcheon; Together with two other drawings 17th Century Study for an Escutcheon Brown ink with brown and gray wash on oatmeal paper 5 1/2 x 6 5/8 inches (14 x 16.5 cm); Together with (ii) Italian School, 17th Century, Study for an Architectural Frieze, brown ink and wash over black chalk on paper, 5 x 8 inches (12.7 x 20/3 cm); And (iii) European School , 20th Century, Study for an Architectural Ornament, brown ink and gray wash on paper, 9 x 6 1/4 inches (22.7 x 15.9 cm) Provenance: Property from the Estate of Rosalie B. Escutcheon study: Attached to mount with a single strip of white tape. Paper toned; scored for transfer with some tearing along the score-lines; small hole in the lower right quadrant. some bucling; minor stainting and soiling. Frieze study. Attached to mount with a single strip of white tape. Slightly faded; glue stain in upper left corner; creases from folding; minor staining and soiling Architectural ornament: Attached to mount with a single strip of white tape. Minor staining and soiling.
