Exceptionally fine collection of 31 superbly coloured views of the United States (11), Canada (4), Mexico (15) and Brazil (1), after Johann Moritz Rugendas, William Henry Bartlett and others. Few of the interbound white leaves waterstained, plates not affected. 5 plates cut to the edge of the image and mounted to size. 1 plate loose. Small pieces of the facing tissue guards occasionally adhering to ink-ruled borders. Modern morocoo binding incorporating sections of the old gold- and blind-stamped material.
