Description: This fantastic Miura’s exhaustive documentation contains sales contracts that confirm its first delivery to enthusiast and entrepreneur Otto Wild on the 16th July 1968 through Garage Foitek in Zurich. The car was delivered in the striking combination of "blu Miura" and "Skai senape". One interesting clause in the sales contract stated that Foitek would be prepared to take the car back for CHF 45’000 after one year if it was in impeccable condition and had covered less than 10’000km. Wirz duly took advantage of this offer and exchanged the Miura in March 1969 for a Miura «S». In the same month, Foitek found a new owner, an entrepreneur from Biel (Bienne) for Chassis 3604. He gave a Ferrari 330 GT in exchange and became the second owner of the Miura which by then had covered a mere 4’300km. Before delivery, the car was repainted in a metallig green at the request of the buyer. In December 1972 Foitek sold the car once more, with now 32’000km on the clock and painted yellow. This is the moment where Chassis 3604 became part of a private collection and seemingly disappeared for nearly 40 years! A number of years ago, the current vendor bought the Miura which by then had only covered a few hundred kilometers more. He had the body restored and repainted in its original colour. The interior was found in good condition - in accordance with the still rather low total mileage - and it responded well to a thorough cleaning. Well known Lamborghini specalist Marcel Donati (www.sportwagenspezialist.ch) took care of the mechanical side and the following jobs were completed: The fuel tank was removed, flushed, corrosion removed and a protective coating applied. The carburettors, fuel pump and all fuel lines were replaced. The oil sump was removed and cleaned and the oil filter was replaced. Distributor, ignition cables and waterpump were replaced. Brake calipers were overhauled and brake lines, brake pads, master brake cylinder and brake pressure regulator replaced. Clutch master- and slave-cylinder were replaced. Timing chain tension was adjusted, cam timing checked and valve clearance adjusted. A successful compression check completed the preparatory work and after three decades, this wonderful Miura P400 was finally allowed to stretch its legs again. The MOT inspection in December 2019 to acquire a Veteran status was a mere formality. To provide the new owner with a fresh MOT, the inspection has been done again in July 2020. This remarkable Chassis #3604 is now on the market once again and provides a rare chance to acquire one of the «lost Miura» in outstanding condition, its original colour combination, matchng numbers and only 33'000 km driven.
