Das vorliegende Exemplar mit 112 Tafeln (röm. nummeriert 1-97, 97 bis, 98-112 - Nr. 104 fehlt). - Je mit Besitzeintrag u. Besitzerstempel von Dr. Pazos sowie Bibliotheksstempel, tls. am oberen Blattrand wasserfleckig, gelegentlich etw. stockfleckig, Bd. 1 am Ende etw. sporfleckig, sonst insgesamt wohlerhalten.
First edition. 14 vols. With 112 (of 113) copper engraving plates and 8 folded tables. - Contemp. half leather with gilt stamped title and gilt stamped name of Dr. J.H. Pazos to spine (corners restored with cloth, spines with traces of removed library labels). - The French entomologist and founder of the entomologist society in France Latreille released numerous writings in which he did not only describe a great number of new species of insects but also classified them according to Linné's newly introduced taxonomic system, and thus contributed substantially to entomology and the systematics of biology all the same. The volumes at hand complete with 113 plates (numbered 1-97, 97 bis, 98-112 - lacking no. 104. - Each vol. with ownership entry and stamp of Dr. Pazos and library stamps, upper margins partially waterstained, occ. foxing, vol. 1 somewhat mouldy at the end, otherwise overall well preserved.
