Jh. beliebte Spielart der Miniaturbücher. - "The most interesting German-language almanacs are perhaps the tiny volumes produced by lithography by C. F. Müller in Karlsruhe and by Clemens or Alois Senefelder in Munich .. The earliest of these 'Almanachs' issues, published between the years 1817 and 1840 are certainly considered and eagerly collected as incunabula of the art of lithography. As their height varies between only 11/16 and 7/8 of an inch by a width of 7/16 to 5/8 of an inch, thus making them minute creations, they must be considered technical miracles of the first order . In addition, the illustrations are often very well designed and executed in great detail. The almanacs were mostly issued in green or pink wrappers ..
