Mortar with satyr masks and pestle
Probably North Italy 1630. Bronze, dark brown patinated. Waisted base, bell-shaped body, profiled and straight rim as well as two finely sculptured models of men's heads looking downwards forming the handles. Monogrammed «GB» on the wall, dated «MDCXXX», inscribed «A» as well as decorated with fine frieze bands, festoons and satyr masks. Conical pestle with central node.
