(Head of title border just shaved, small neat manuscript '10' beneath title.) 18th-century olive morocco, elaborate roll borders, spine richly gilt in compartments, red morocco spine label, gilt turn-ins, edges marbled and gilt (joints expertly repaired). The superb woodcuts were designed specifically for Dolce's work and Giolito's artist chose a number of subjects not illustrated in previous editions of Ovid.
