Created in 1976, to commemorate the Bicentennial, the Americana was one of the first limited edition pens. The pens are housed in a pewter display box replicating a Colonial American writing stand; these boxes were hand-produced by famed Massachusetts silversmiths Reed & Barton. Only a small number of these stands were made and they have become quite scarce. Outer box, velveteen bag, pewter display box with two hinged lids, metal plaque, booklet.
