Album of over 325 mounted photographs of varying size (mostly gelatin silver prints) with numerous autographs, an original watercolor of HMS Renown (signed "D'Esposito 1902"), a telegram from Lady Curzon welcoming the Royal Party to India, and the 1943 obituary of the album's creator Lady [Leonie] Leslie. (Oblong folio) 26.7x37 cm (10½x14½"), green crushed morocco bordered in gilt with Leonie Lesley's gilt monogram "L.L." on cover, spine tooled in gilt, raised bands, gilt dentelles, patterned silk endpapers. Photograph album documenting the royal procession through India marking the accession of Edward VII and his wife Alexandra as king and queen of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions—and as emperor and empress of India. The photographs show Lady Leslie's participation in the Coronation celebrations, visits to Assouan, Peshawar, hunting trips. Agra, Malta, and more, plus informal shots of the Royal Party and Indian Royalty. Notable autographs include those of Lord Kitchener, Sir Reginald Wingate, Baron Ampthill, and Sir Bindon Blood.
