油彩橡木畫板95.7 x 119.7 公分;37 ⅝ x 47 ⅛ 英寸Condition reportThe following condition report is provided by K&S Conservation Ltd. who are external specialists and not employees of Sotheby's:
The painting is presumed to be painted in oil on an oak panel. The panel has been thinned and is now cradled. The grain direction is horizontal. The cradle has 21 fixed horizontal members, and 11 vertical moveable members. There is little movement in these members. The paint and ground layers are stable, and there is no signs of flaking or recent losses. The current presentation of the painting shows a skillful restoration, probably dating from the twentieth century, with only minor corrections undertaken recently. The existing varnish and most recent retouching have not discoloured or degraded to a significant degree. The surface gloss is even and saturating. There is a small amount of a waxy surface dirt on both the front and reverse of the painting.
