2 volumes. Illustrated. Large folios, wrappers. The first work is a reproduction of the original suite of engravings comprising the Mutus Liber, one of the major books on alchemy and Hermetic philosophy, first published in La Rochelle in 1677. The printed text is an original 20th century commentary. The second is Secret Symbols of the Rosicrucians from the 16th & 17th Centuries, first published in 1785, with alchemical, hermetic, Rosicrucian, and Qabalistic figures reproduced in color. Comprises: Saulat, Jacob, sieur des Marez, attrib. Le livre d'Images sans Paroles (Mutus Liber); où toutes les opérations de la philosophie hermétique sont décrites et représentées. [17] pp. + 15 facsimile engraved plates. 38.5x27.5 cm (15¼x10¾"), original wrappers tied with cord (top 4" of spine strip missing). No. 204 of 295 copies (of which 10 were hors commerce), signed by the publisher. Paris: Librairie Critique Émile Nourry, 1914. Geheimne der Figuren der Rosenkruzer aus dem 16ten und 17ten Jahrhndert.
