Erstausgabe 1532 hatte Melanchthon, mit Luther einer der Lehrer von Johann Carion, an der Herausgabe der deutschen Übersetzung (zuerst 1560) entscheidend mitgewirkt. - Titel in Rot und Schwarz. - Der schöne Einband stammt wohl von dem bekannten Wittenberger Buchbinder Wenzel Dörffler (Haebler I, 96f.). Haebler verzeichnet die Rolle mit der Signatur Dörfflers, jedoch nicht die beiden Platten. - Stellenw. etw. finger- und braunfl. sowie wasserrandig, erste 5 und letzte 10 Bll. mit ergänztem Randläsuren (Titel und letzte 2 Bll. mit gr. Fehlstellen und etw. Textverlust), Gelenke und Bindung ausgebessert. Einbd. fleckig, Ecken bestoßen und mit 2 Fehlstellen im Bezug. VD 16, M 2725. - Vgl.
