Provenance : SIR ERNEST SHACKLETON. [ Comprising :] Portrait as a pupil at Dulwich College, aged about 15, mounted on card. J.J.BAYFIELD (photographer). Portrait, circa 1909, inscribed on verso 'C.S.Shackleton Sydenham 1909 Taken at Dulwich College where he [Ernest Shackleton] gave away the Prizes, wearing the College flower (cornflower)', mounted on card bearing photographer's blind-stamp. SPEAIGHT Limited (photographer). Portrait, circa 1910, mounted on card with photographers credit on verso, inscribed on recto of mount 'Your loving brother Ernest Shackleton' and C.S.Shackleton Sydenham' on verso. Portrait photograph, overpainted in colours, circa 1911, framed and glazed, in the velvet-lined folding frame which originally displayed Shackleton's medals. . Portrait, Shackleton in Army uniform, circa 1918, the image inscribed on recto 'Yours sincerely Ernest Shackleton 1918', framed and glazed. Portrait, Shackleton in profile with a wall-map of the Antarctic as a back-drop, circa 1918 (two small marginal tears).
