Lot of 22 of Admiral Dewey. Nice mini-collection by various makers including Keystone View Co.; B.W. Kilburn; Griffith & Griffith; Underwood & Underwood; International View Co.; William H. Rau (Universal View Co.); Montgomery Ward Tourist Series and Webster & Albee. Includes close portraits on board "Olympia;" scarce Kilburn #13371 close portrait in white uniform; individual portraits of Dewey in civilian clothes and of his wife at their New York City home; scarce Keystone 10598 of Dewey in civilian suit seated on his porch; 4 of the Dewey Celebration Parade in New York City including in carriage; 11 of Sword Presentation in Washington, D.C.; scarce International View Co. #586 close of him in carriage at St. Louis parade, 1900 and a Webster & Albee view of head of division, Otis Parade. Buff and gray mounts. Provenance: The Ed Burchard Stereoview Collection Condition: Overall bright and clear. A few buff mounts with very slight soil. An attractive lot.
