By His Majesty's special command. Appointed to be read in Churches Author: Place: London Publisher: Printed by John Baskett Date: 1713 Description: Old Testament & New Testament bound together, preceded by the Book of Common Prayer (dated 1716). Text in 2 columns. 15x8.5 cm (6x3½"), period calf with central metal bosses bearing monograms (ITM?), ornate metal hinges, 1 (of 2) metal clasps, Charming little King James Bible in an attractive and somewhat unusual binding. The New Testament has a separate title-page. Lot Amendments Condition: Rubbing to joints and spine, ends chipped; lacking one of the clasps; minor foxing/aging within; very good. Item number: 256316
