Light tanning edge of interior front and back cover. Lee Elias cover. Stories and art by Bob Powell, Howard Nostrand, John Giunta, Jack Sparling, and Manny Stallman. Northford collection. The Northford collection, found in a chest of drawers sold to an antique dealer in the early '70s, contained the most complete run of pre-Code horror comics of all pedigreed collections. Similar to Lee-Severin "Hulk vs High Evolutionary" storyline (Tales to Astonish #'s 95-96). CGC census: Three 9.0 copies (two copies graded higher). Top 5 copy. Comparable CGC sales: 9.0: $898 (March 2018); 9.2: $1554 (Feb. 2018). PBA Grading Guarantee: Any individual comic book lot (not group lots) graded by PBA is guaranteed to match CGC grading. If the buyer chooses to have the comic CGC certified and that certification is lower than PBA’s, the lot may be returned for a full refund of the sales price (hammer price plus buyer’s premium). See terms and conditions for details. Consignments Accepted for PBA's Next Comic Book Auction. Golden Age, Silver Age, Pre-Code, Original Art, Interesting Ephemera Sought.
