TOMB OF TERROR No. 2 Author: Place: Publisher: Harvey Date: July, 1952 Description: Fine/VF (7.0). Light wear to spine and bottom right cover; tiny (1mm) color chip top edge; edge toning to back cover. Pages cream to off-white, edges a bit tan, tiny bit of paper protrudes from right edge due to slight bindery miscut. Cover by Lee Elias. Stories and art by Lee Elias, Joe Certa, Moe Marcus, Rocco "Rocke" Mastroserio, Rudy Palais and Joe Certa. "From the beginning, [Harvey horror] comics were noted for their often graphic depictions of violence, sadism, torture, bondage and perversion - at least so far as 1950s readers were concerned. From today's perspective, there is little doubt that the material in these publications is definitely more explicit than that found in many of Harvey's rivals, including EC, but the quality of storytelling often leaves much to be desired (with many strips apparently existing only so that they could show something very nasty happening to the protagonists)." -Stephen Jones, Harvey Horrors: Tomb of Terror vol. 1 [PS Artbooks: 2011]. PBA Grading Guarantee: Any individual comic book lot (not group lots) graded by PBA is guaranteed to match CGC grading. If the buyer chooses to have the comic CGC certified and that certification is lower than PBA’s, the lot may be returned for a full refund of the sales price (hammer price plus buyer’s premium). See terms and conditions for details. Consignments Accepted for PBA's Next Comic Book Auction. Golden Age, Silver Age, Pre-Code, Original Art, Interesting Ephemera Sought.
