TWENTY TSUBA OF VARIOUS TYPES MUROMACHI/EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1500-1850) The iron tsuba comprising: five round, pierced plates of floral design, one with a pierced wheel, all signed Tadatsugu , (circa 1750)--6.7cm. to 8.2cm. h.; two unsigned (Tadatsugu style) round plates pierced with a floral design, (circa 1750)--6.7 and 7cm. h.; a mokko plate and a round, pierced plate of floral and snowflake design, both signed Shigetsugu , (circa 1750)--7.3 and 7cm. h.; a round plate pierced with two flower designs, signed Yamakichibei (Takahashi Yamakichibei), (circa 1775)--8.1cm. h., 3.5mm. th.; a rounded, diamond shape plate with a pierced mushroom and circles, and a shakudo rim cover, (circa 1500)--8.2cm., h., 4.5mm. th.; two mokko plates with hammered surfaces, one with a line-carved daikan design, (circa 1550 and 1850)--both 8cm. h., 2mm. th.; a round plate with pierced kiri crests and clouds, (circa 1500)--7.2cm. h., 2.5mm. th.; a mokko plate with pierced Genji mon , (Kyo Shoami, circa 1650)--7.7cm. h., 4mm. th.; a round plate with a pierced floral design and an inlaid bug, (Shoami school circa 1600)--7.4cm. h., 3.5mm. th.; an oval plate pierced with a crayfish design, shakudo rim cover, (circa 1750)--6.7cm. h., 4.5mm. th., a round plate pierced with a wheel design, (very rusted), (circa 1750)--7.3cm. h.; a rounded-square, stone surface plate carved with a constellation and inlaid brass stars, (circa 1800)--7.7cm. h., 4.5mm. th.; a fist-shape plate with an undulating surface carved with the words " Namu Myoho Renge-kyo ", (Shoami school, circa 1750)--8.7cm. h., 4mm. th.
