Terrology traces a link between Comic Media and Ajax-Farrell (corporate statements indicate that "Dearfield Publishing Co., Inc." had ownership interests in both companies). Whatever the case, none of these entities survived the comics implosion that followed the Comics Code. Don Heck cover: undead cabbie seeks vengeance over lousy tip (or something); rich creep assaults maid, gets flogged to death in own dungeon ("...And dies dismally as the blood drips steadily from his torn body"). The front cover abrasion lends a rather rakish and jaunty air of "going to the devil" to this tawdry mag, like a seedy gentleman's dueling scar. CGC census: No other copies in this grade.
