Paloma Picasso ist eine spanische Kunst- und Modeschöpferin, die vor allem für ihre einzigartigen Schmuckstücke und Accessoires bekannt ist. Sie wurde am 19. April 1949 in Paris, Frankreich, als Tochter des berühmten Malers Pablo Picasso und seiner dritten Frau, Jacqueline Roque, geboren.
Paloma begann nach ihrem Abitur, Kunst zu studieren, und arbeitete zunächst als Model. Nachdem sie ihren Abschluss gemacht hatte, schloss sie sich der Modebranche an und arbeitete als Designerin für verschiedene bekannte Modehäuser. Sie gründete auch ihr eigenes Modehaus, Paloma Picasso, und entwickelte ihre eigene Linie von Schmuckstücken, Accessoires und Kleidungsstücken.
Ihre Arbeit wurde von vielen bekannten Designern und Kunstsammlern geschätzt und auf Auktionen weltweit als hochwertige Kunstwerke angeboten. Einige der höchsten Zuschlagspreise, die jemals für ihre Arbeiten erzielt wurden, sind ein Ring aus Weißgold und Platin, der für mehr als 1,3 Millionen Dollar versteigert wurde, ein Armband aus Gold und Diamanten, das für mehr als 1 Million Dollar versteigert wurde, und ein Paar Ohrringe aus Gold und Diamanten, die für mehr als 800.000 Dollar versteigert wurden.
