2018 Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG Final Edition Chassis no. WDCYC7EF9JX292072 •One of only 65 made •Delivered new to Kuwait •Unused and in 'as new' condition •Automatic transmission •Registered in Kuwait Fußnoten "To mark the discontinuation of the Mercedes-AMG G 65... AMG is offering an exclusive Final Edition, limited to just 65 examples worldwide. The particularly expressive Final Edition reflects the successful story of the world's most powerful series production off-roader. More than a third of all G‑Class vehicles sold worldwide originate from AMG." – Mercedes-AMG. Introduced as long ago as 1979, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class 'Geländewagen' (cross-country vehicle) was the result of a joint venture with Steyr-Daimler-Puch of Austria, a firm with considerable experience in developing four-wheel-drive systems for off-road vehicles. Its purposeful appearance – fundamentally unchanged throughout its life – and engineering excellence has secured the 'G-Wagen' cult status and earned it a reputation as one of the most coveted of classic 4x4s. For 1991 a revised (Type 463) chassis was introduced, incorporating the very latest in off-road traction technology in the form of three electronically engaged differentials in addition to anti-lock brakes. There have been countless updates to the Type 463 since then and a host of special variants released, one of the most recent being the Mercedes-AMG G 65 Final Edition. Powered by AMG's 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine developing 630bhp, the G 65 Final Edition accelerates from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in 5.3 seconds on its way to an electronically limited top speed of 230km/h (143mph). AMG's Speedshift Plus 7G‑tronic automatic transmission delivers power to all four wheels. Boasting high ground clearance and long-travel suspension, the Mercedes-AMG G 65 offered greater off-road capability than most customers would ever need in an immensely stylish conveyance with not inconsiderable on-the-road presence. Noteworthy features included 21" light-alloy wheels in bronze, silver brake callipers, AMG Sport trim strips to the sides, and numerous bronze-coloured accents. As one would expect, this special model also featured a high-quality interior, the latter being equipped with the 'Designo Exclusive' trim package in black nappa leather with seat side bolsters in a carbon-fibre look and topstitching in light brown. Comfort was assured thanks to multi-contour seating with cooled/heated seats for the driver and front passenger. Like the entire model series, the G 65 Final Edition was produced in Graz, primarily in the factory's hand-finishing section. Representing possibly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own one of these rare and super-exclusive luxury 4x4s, this G 65 AMG Final Edition has not been used and is presented in 'as new' condition. Delivered new to Kuwait, the car is offered with a Kuwait Registration Card. VAT, Car Tax and Customs Duty at the standard rates will be payable on this Lot if the car remains in Switzerland. Bonhams is the guarantor of the customs duties and taxes clearance: consequently, this motor car cannot be released to the buyer or his transporter immediately after the sale.
