A collection of three George II coins. Consisting of a copper alloy farthing with the obverse reading GEORGIVS II REX and the reverse reading BRITANNIA, dated 1740, a copper alloy halfpenny with the obverse reading GEORGIVS II REX and the reverse reading BRITANNIA, dated together with a George II silver penny coin. 1.1 in (2.7 cm) diameter, 0.9 in (2.3 cm) diameter, 0.5 in (1.2 cm) diameter. (3 items) Provenance: This lot came from The Ronald Goode collection at the Pumphouse Educational Museum in Rotherhithe. The Museum housed a fascinating private collection of artifacts discovered on the Thames foreshore in Rotherhithe along with an interesting collection of Peak Freans biscuit factory items which once existed locally in the area. The later collection also included a magnificent six foot iced replica of Queen Elizabeth II's wedding cake with a letter of thanks from Elizabeth II which was on permanent exhibit at The Pumphouse Museum.
