Signed Paulus Bramer probably early 20th century The burr-walnut case on claw feet, the hood with openwork decoration surmounted by three giltwood figures, the polychrome painted face with mythological figures, the silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals showing the date, the day of the week, the month and the lunar phase in seperate apertures, a second dial for the second hand, two shields signed 'Paulus Bramer' 'Amsterdam', above a theatre showing a city harbour with an automaton of eight moving ships and two sea creatures, the 8-day mechanism with an anchor escapement, with repetition striking mechanism, striking the half and the whole hour in full on different bells, the striking is preceded by a musical work, playing two times six tunes of your preference on 15 bells. 305x74x42 cm The case made in late 18th-century style is in good condition, the mechanism is in working condition.
