A rare, 16th century unascribed provincial apostle spoon; St. Thomas, of good gauge , the gilt figure of the saint with a mushroom shaped nimbus, pierced and rayed with an applied corded border, (part missing) evidence of a mark on the back of the stem and struck in the bowl with an incuse Tudor rose mark, traces of gilding, unascribed, probably dating from the second or third quarters of the 16th century - 17.5cm long, 2.25oz.
