The case surmounted by a ringed and knopped turned brass spire, on the large domed bell, encircled by four turned finials and two silver filigree panels, above the glazed, silver filigree sides, the exterior pendulum with large parabolic pendulum bob, supported on four turned ball feet.
The silver filigree mask surrounding the silvered Turkish chapter ring, a chamfered mock pendulum aperture to the centre, under the blued steel beetle and poker hands, a silvered cartouche engraved Markwick, Markham, London under the arch.
The single spring barrel movement with outside verge escapement and pierced side pillars.
