Engraved title and 12 engraved plates, mounted on guards (most reinforced along upper margin, occasional spotting and light soiling). Late 19th- early 20th-century half cloth, morocco spine label (label chipped). Provenance : early effaced ink marginalia on title; purchased from Marlborough Rare Books, 1970. [ Bound with: ] DELAFLEUR. Nicolaus Guillelmus a Florae Lotharingus . Rome: n.pr.; [Paris:] Chez P. Mariette, 1639. Broadsheets. Engraved title and 11 engraved octagonal plates, mounted on guards. TWO VERY RARE SUITES OF DECORATIVE PRINTS, apparently original and not copied from earlier florilegia. Hunt has a set of the first suite, including the title-page to the second but not the additional 11 prints. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has a set of the twelve octagonal plates including the 1639 title-page. Berlin Kat. 4416 and 4418; Hunt 232. [ Bound with ] DELLA BELLA, Stefano. Raccolta di Vasi di versi di Stefano de la Bella . [Paris:] P. Mariette, n.d. Broadsheets. Etched title and 5 etched plates (one marginal tape repair). This work comprises designs for 44 vases by Della Bella. The title is "displayed" on the side of the central case on the first leaf. See Berlin Kat. 1137.
