Parts I-III only (of 4), small 4°, engraved portrait frontispiece, 7 plates and one double-page map, wide margins (plate and map in pt. III possibly supplied from another copy, one plate laid down onto blank p. 116, occasional light marginal soiling), contemporary calf (rebacked, corners worn, extremities lightly rubbed). FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH. Sabin 23479: "part iv consists of Sharp's voyage, and is perhaps more properly part of the second edition"; Wing E3894.
