Half titles, engraved portrait of the author, 2 plates (occasional light spotting). Blue morocco by Petit-Simier, gilt arms of the Laplace family on sides, spines lettered in gilt, inner dentelles, top edges gilt other uncut (a few small scuff marks). Provenance : J.-B. DUMAS (1800-1884, famous chemist, library stamp on title). See also lot 22.
