Gebruik ze dan tot Nut, tot Leering en Vermaak." Catchpenny print with 2 woodcuts depicting carriages, touched with colour, sheet size 45 x 34 cm, with letterpress title and numbered "No. 14" in top margin, and with verses below the woodcuts, Breda, W. van Bergen & W.G. van der Sande, dated 1806.
Central horizontal fold, sl. frayed and creased, water stain in lower right corner. A good copy for this kind of print. The only known copy: Boerma, Borms et al. Kinderprenten, volksprenten, centsprenten, schoolprenten. Populaire grafiek in de Nederlanden 1650-1950, p. 720, no. 14, listing this copy as proof of its existence. Not in De Meyer, on the subject see De Meyer 598-599; (2) "De Verkeerde Nieuwe Weereld". Catchpenny print with the same two woodcuts as (1), but with different title and verses, touched with colour, sheet size 40 x 32 cm, Deventer, J.H. de Lange, (c. 1800), mounted at upper corners. With closed large central tear affecting a verse; several smaller closed tears (sl. affecting woodcuts) and frayed in left margin. Boerma, Borms et al, p. 215-218 and p. 776 (Oude fonds) and 778 (Nieuwe fonds) no. 41. Illustrated as plate 236; De Meyer, p. 199 ff. and list of J. de Lange en Opvolgers no. 41. (total 2)
