Plastik., 30 September-20 October 1938, no. 68; Munich, Haus der Deutschen Kunst, Grosse Deutsche Kunstausstellung, 16 July-15 October 1939, cat. no. 994 No other bronze examples of this group are recorded. The plaster model of "Mars and Venus" is recorded in March 1936. This bronze example was commissioned by Annelies von Ribbentropp, the wife of the German Foreign Minister. The group was produced in porcelain at the KPM Berlin manufactory from 1942 (Rafael 2013, ill. 10).
