Ruskin on art, including a page from a draft of The Laws of Fésole (from Chapter 10, 'On Light and Shade') with instruction on the drawing of a scarlet geranium, a list of paintings from his 'Lucerne Series', and referring to his own drawings and publications ('I have the sea-urchin in my book, which was spoiled in woodcutting, you must have wondered what it was'; 'could you ... get these two casts photographed for me ... with the light in both cases from the back of the head, the faces in shade as much as is necessary to give the drawing').
