Comprising: 1. ABHANDLUNGEN UND BERICHTE DES STAATLICHEN MUSEUMS FUR VOLKERKUNDE DRESDEN, Band 24, 1965. 181 pages of text plus 32 pages of photographs and 2 pages of drawings. This very important journal from the Dresden Museum fur Volkerkunde contains a number of important illustrated papers. The titles of some of the papers (in English, though the papers are in German) are: "Ancient Eskimo Implements with Iron Blades" by H. Israel; "Notes on Hunting of the Nambicuara Indians", by L. Boglar; "The Decay of the Clan Community in Ruanda", by L. Holy; "Rectangular Benin Plaques Representing Europeans: Remarks on the Iconography and Dating", by S. Fine condition. Privately printed. Hundreds of objects were acquired during the Punitive Expedition led by Gen. Pitt Rivers that scoured Benin City; most were stored in the author's private museum in Dorset.
