Property of an Important European CollectionA collection of three various Höchst teapots and coversCirca 1755-1772 comprising: a fayence bullet-shaped teapot and cover with crabstock handle and curved spout and flower finial, painted in a version of the famille rose palette with stylised flowers among scattered sprigs and insects, puce wheel mark and signed in monogram AL for Adam Friedrich von Loewenfink or Adam Ludwig, a porcelain teapot and cover, painted by L.V. Gerverot with figures in garderns, blue wheel mark and signed in script and rebus of a windmill, and another porcelain teapot and cover with bird's head spout and wishbone handle painted with flowersthe first 16 cm., 6¼ in wide6 To view Shipping Calculator, please click here.Condition ReportFayence teapot and cover has a network of fine crack across the base and running around the circumference of the lower part of the teapot, minor chipping to flowers and applied ornament with some re-touching. Overall of good appearence. The porcelain teapot with figural decoration has the cover stuck down and the handle broken off and restored, rubbing to gilding. 17.5 cm. wide The second porcelain teapot with a slightly ill-fitting cover but it is a similar paste and the painting style is very close to the sprigs on the body of the teapot so on balance is likely to be the original cover. Minor chipping to rim and flange of cover, puce wheel mark to teapot, 19 cm. wide. Condition 11 of the Conditions of Business for Buyers (Online Only) is not applicable to this lot.
