An important German silver-gilt Hanukah Lamp, Johann Valentin Schüler, Frankfurt, circa 1690 raised on four shell and foliate feet below openwork brackets springing from chased leaves on matted grounds, the molded square base with circle of embossed beading below shaped square collar and knop of openwork brackets, globular stem rising to a figure of Judith with the head of Holofernes, flanked by arms of bells, buds and ovals supporting openwork brackets and shaped oil fonts marked on base rim height 17 3/8 in. 44.2cm
