Lot of 2 by Keystone View Co. related to women's suffrage allowing women the right to vote. #11940 "Suffragette Parade--G. Marshal, Mrs. Richard Burleson; Herald, Miss Inez Milholland; and other Prominent Workers on Horseback--March 3, 1913, Washington, D.C. View shows a huge crowd jamming the street as the suffragettes, march, ride horses and ride in autos parading for their cause. A large sign in the middle reads "We Demand an Amendment to the Constitution of the United State Enfranchising the Women of the Country." The second view #V26151 "Dr. Anna Howard Shaw, Suffrage Leader." Very nice close portrait of her seated at her desk reading a letter. Gray curved mounts. The Shaw portrait has her biography imprinted on verso. Provenance: The Ed Burchard Stereoview Collection Condition: Bright and clear on clean mounts.
