They rise in a dramatic almost vertical shape from the river’s edge and are the most distinctive geological feature visible from New York City. Landscape was always an integral part of Brady’s oeuvre although in his later years the prevalence of still life overshadowed this genre. Brady was born and raised in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan and studied at Art Student’s League, NYC. He was well received in solo exhibitions in his native city at the Babcock Galleries on Madison Avenue in the 1960s before relocating to Ireland.
